Pharmacy & Health Sciences

The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences consists of seven health sciences programs that cover the health care spectrum from drug development to patient care. These programs include clinical research, nursing, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant and public health as well as a unique interprofessional education program.

Founded in 1986, the College began as the School of Pharmacy and was one of the first programs to offer the six-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree. More than 30 years later, the College is still finding new and innovative ways, such as offering the only dual physician assistant and public health degree in the state, to meet the projected healthcare shortages in North Carolina.
